2008 Business Expo expands into online resource - gets a new name

This year’s Central Coast Business Expo is being further expanded into an online resource and community, in support of the live event to be held at Mingara Recreation Club on 13 – 14 August, with the aim of getting better results, exhibitors and visitors.

The Expo, now into its 8th year, will again comprise a Business-to-Business (B2B) trade show of businesses that provide products and services to the SME market locally, together with a program of seminars, featured presentations and master classes for all levels of business.”

Commenting on their new initiative Bambi Gordon, Director of Regional Events Australia who organises the Expo said, “We now have at our disposal Web 2.0 and social media tools, plus a much more sophisticated business community who want to tap into quality education, customer bases, forums, marketing opportunities and networks - not just within a few kilometers radius, but from region to region across the State and nationally”.

“The aim of the Expo - to provide information and inspiration to local business; to help those businesses get together and truly engage with potential customers – has not changed, the businesses who will be showcased at the event are still those who provide products and services to SMEs locally. However the tools at our disposal mean that we can connect these people right across the year – not just during the two days of the Expo”, said Ms Gordon.

In line with this initiative the Expo has been give a new name: The Brew Business & Innovation Expo Central Coast.
Behind the scenes the Brew web-site will provide interested exhibitors an opportunity to register online for their Expo site, and over the next few months, for delegates to register to attend the event, download podcasts, access forums, and join The Brew’s online B2B community.

“We have branded the new online and offline community and resource for the B2B marketplace ‘The Brew’ because we believe that bringing together suppliers, customers, those looking for information, those wishing to share their experience, all in one-place, at one-time both online and at our Expos – all the ingredients for a highly connected and motivated business community - strengthens all the businesses who participate” said Greg Rowell, Director of Regional Events Australia. Ms Gordon added, “It seems really appropriate that as we update the event name to business and innovation expo that we are launching what we believe is the first B2B event brand in Australia”.
