Radio executive moves to Newcastle Guy Ashford has been appointed Operations and General Sales Manager at 2HD and New FM, Newcastle. Ashford joins the Supernetwork in this senior management role after some 28 years of all round practical hands on experience including 18 years of on-air and programming stints at 2LF Young, 2MC Port Macquarie, 2GO Gosford, 2SM Sydney and 2KO Newcastle. He has spent the past 8 years in sales and has been Sales Manager at 2GO-Sea FM Gosford for the past 3 years.
ACS Integrated Service Provider appoints CEO ACS Integrated Service Provider Managing Director, Warren Hughes, has announced the appointment of Paul Collins as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Collins was formerly National Security Compliance Co-ordinator for Westfield Shopping Centres. Commenting on the appointment, Mr Hughes said, “Paul is well known and respected within the retail industry and brings to ACS a complete portfolio and a decade of experience with him from which we all will benefit.” Larry Clayton will continue as General Manager and Andy Testa as National Operations Manager with responsibility for day-to-day operations. “This will leave me free to focus on client liason and strategic planning,” said Mr Hughes. Earlier this year ACS moved into new premises at Highpoint on The Entrance Road, Erina.
New management at PRP Valuers and Consultants. Gosford based property valuers, Preston Rowe Paterson Central Coast & Hunter Pty Ltd has announced the appointment of Anthony Hickey as Manager – Professional Services and Jennie Hall as Manager – Operations and Administration. This follows the resignation of Managing Director, Peter Dorrough. Gregory Preston and Gregory Rowe remain Directors of the company.
New Central Coast Chairman for UDIA The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Central Coast Chapter has elected David Kettle as Chairman. A town planner, Mr Kettle operates his own consultancy practice which has been based at Gosford for the past twenty years. Prior to that he was for many years Chief Town Planner at Gosford City Council and Regional Director of the Department of Planning. He succeeds Andrew Cox who was Chairman for two years. The UDIA represents the property development industry and in recent times has lodged submissions in respect to the Warnervale Town Centre, WEZ and Gosford City Centre. Mr Kettle said the UDIA would run a half-day seminar to discuss the proposed Comprehensive LEP for Gosford City.
L.J. Hooker Global Retail Services relocates to Tuggerah Specialist retail property management company, Global Retail Services has relocated their offices from The Rocks in Sydney and will operate out of L.J. Hooker Commercial’s office at Tuggerah Business Park.
GRS works through the L.J. Hooker network of 690 offices and targets the niche sector of shopping centres from 5,000 – 30,000 square metres, property trusts, property syndicates, developers, specialty retailers and major retail tenants. GRS directors own the business with Peter Alward being Director Australasia and Managing Director of the NSW and Guandong companies.
Mr Alward has a close association with the Central Coast, firstly being a resident and secondly having spent thirty years as an executive with Woolworths and managing stores on the Central Coast. He has an extensive retail career having been Director of shopping centres in NSW and Queensland for Byvan (NSW) and Executive Director of the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority for four years until 2003.
Commenting on their association with GRS and Peter Alward, L.J. Hooker Commercial Director, Ty Blanch said that it would reinforce their service offering to clients by adding value. “We look forward to drawing on Peter’s knowledge and expertise in the retail sector,” he said.
New owner for The Throttle Shop Nathan Bajada has sold The Throttle Shop at West Gosford. Established for over ten years the high profile workshop is an Authorised Repco Service Centre and is best known for its performance work. The new owner is Michael Madrusan. The sale was negotiated by Argyle Estates Business Brokers.
