GHD establishes regional office at Tuggerah

Leading international professional services firm, GHD, has a new office on the Central Coast, located in the new Zenith building in Tuggerah Business Park.

GHD says its decision to open a permanent office on the Central Coast has been driven by its continued commitment to serving regional areas, bringing its number of offices across Australia to 46.

Bryson Millers has taken up the position of Office Manager for the new office, relocating from GHD Sydney. He is a senior project manager with significant experience in managing multidisciplinary teams for both small- and large-scale projects. “GHD has been serving the Central Coast for many years, predominantly through our Newcastle and Sydney offices. We believe the establishment of a permanent office in the region will strengthen our understanding of our local client’s needs and provide them with a stronger and more effective on-the-ground approach,” Mr Millers said.

“We already have seven locals working in the office who, until now, had been commuting to work from the Central Coast to our Sydney and Newcastle offices. Their skills include water technology, management services, geotechnical, environmental, planning, roads and highways, and buildings and structures.

“We are backed by more than 600 GHD staff in our Sydney and Newcastle operations and our clients also benefit from our ability to draw on GHD’s national and global resources.”

Mr Millers added that the company will continue to grow the office to meet the demands of one of NSW’s key population growth areas and align its capabilities to meet the need for infrastructure solutions that are innovative, cost-effective, and satisfy legislative requirements and community expectations. The company is currently delivering many local projects for both public and private sector clients involving water and road infrastructure, power, planning and the environment.

A key project utilising many of GHD’s capabilities is the $80 million Mardi-Mangrove Link project, a joint initiative of Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils and a key part of the region’s long-term water management strategy. “We believe the future is very bright for the Central Coast. We are very pleased to have a permanent office here and to be an integral part of the local community,” said Mr Millers.
