Gosford BID appoints manager

Mrs Lowndes, who is well known in Gosford as the manager of Gosford Town Centre Shopping Centre. She has also been busy running her own events and marketing company.

GBID Chairperson Deborah Warwick said, “We are delighted to have secured someone with Deborah's experience, and passion and enthusiasm for Gosford. The calibre of applicants for the position was first class, showing strong interest in the role. I'm confident that Deborah will make a significant contribution to revitalising Gosford CBD.”

Ms Lowndes has extensive marketing, retail and event management experience. She has also been on the Gosford Promotions Committee and has helped produce many unique events for Gosford and the Central Coast. “I am very excited about this role as it is pivotal in bringing business and community together to make the BID vision happen” Ms Lowndes said.

Gosford City Council initiated the Gosford BID late last year, since then a committee of local business people has been developing a program of projects and events for the CBD. “We will shortly have all the elements in place for GBID to operate at full tilt. It is a very exciting project for Gosford,” Ms Warwick said. “Another great advantage Deborah brings is the ability to hit the ground running. She is already well respected in Gosford. She understands the challenges ahead and has a good understanding of what can be achieved with this project”.

Ms Lowndes will take up the position in early August in the new GBID office at 123 Donnison Street, Gosford.
