Baxter Building breaks the business mould -- Linx Group awarded Tavern contract

Baxter Building breaks the business mould

With its 10 year anniversary approaching, award-winning local building company Baxter Building Co (NSW) Pty Ltd has announced a change of name to Baxter O’Hara Building.

Underpinning the change is a major expansion in operations for the company, which in the past has focused on the Central Coast is now establishing a significant presence in commercial, government, industrial and fit-out construction projects throughout New South Wales.

Founding Director Craig Baxter and Director Sean O’Hara, who was appointed to his current position in 2005, emphasised that after extensive market research and analysis, the change in strategy is a major step forward in further strengthening the company’s growth and sustainability.

“Our clients will be quick to recognise that the change we’re undertaking is designed to reflect and capitalise on current market trends,” Mr Baxter said. “The end result for our clients will be a range of services that provide a best-fit for their changing requirements.”

The company is experiencing significant and steady annual financial growth and taking on a more extensive range of project locations. “It’s the combination of those two things that’s opening the door to much larger markets for us – hence the need to refocus our strategy,” said Mr O’Hara.

Cementing this was the recognition received in 2007, when Baxter Building received the New South Wales Master Builders Association Excellence in Building Award for Commercial Projects in the $1-2 million category.
“Sean and I have been in the building industry for 20 years,” Mr Baxter said. “It’s an industry we’ve grown up in and one we intend to be shaping throughout the next 20 years.”
