Central Coast Financial Services changes hands
Greg Heaton has sold his interest in Central Coast Financial Services to Nathan Edwards.
Mr Edwards, who becomes Managing Director, has worked with Greg Heaton at CCFS for the past four years. Before joining the company he worked in corporate banking for some ten years.
Mr Heaton established CCFS in 1984 specialising in motor vehicle and plant and equipment finance as well as commercial proeprty. He will continue to work with CCFS in a consulting role.
Skoda dealer appointed
Central Coast Eurocars has been appointed Central Coast dealer for Skoda motor vehicles. Owned by Julius and Karen Huzarek, Central Coast Eurocars are dealers for Peugeot, Renault and Suzuki. Since buying Central Coast Eurocars in 2006 the Huzarek’s have added the Suzuki dealership in 2007 and currently employ 28 people. Skoda is one of the oldest automotive brands, having been in continuous production for more than 100 years. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG.
Well known curtain business sold
Central Coast Curtains and Blinds has been sold. Previous owners Ray and Marilyn Dowdle had owned and operated the business for the past twelve years and now wish to retire. New owner Steve Silva has retained all staff. Central Coast Curtains and Blinds has been established on the Central Coast for over 30 years. The sale was negotiated by Argyle Estates Business Brokers.
Finnish company appoints Australian representative
Finnish company, Moventas, one of the leading experts in mechanical power transmission throughout the world, has entered into partner agreement with Erina based SFP Consulting Pty Ltd, headed up by Stephen Pantlin.
The appointment of a local representative in Australia is part of the company's strategic intent to strengthen its customer service and to build up a global network.
As Moventas’ partner in Australia SFP Consulting will introduce Moventas to Australian markets and focus on serving the customers in the minerals, sugar and fibre & paper industries.
Moventas designs, manufactures and markets drive units for the process industries under the Santasalo trademark. The company has over 1,200 employees in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Canada, USA, Singapore and China. SFP Consulting is based at Platinum Erina.
New owner for The Letterbox Restaurant
Brad Kennedy and Brett Gillam have bought The Letterbox Restaurant at Terrigal.
Established ten years ago the heritage listed former post office has been owned by Karl and Nicole Kard for the past six years. Brad Kennedy was formerly CEO of Doyalson RSL Club, Davistown RSL and Wyong Leagues Club.
Brett Gillam was formerly National Workforce Planning Manager for Australian Pensioners Insurance and has held management roles at Vodaphone and American Express.
Head Chef, Todd Clark and Sous Chef, Clark Lou will remain with the restaurant along with all other staff. Central Coast Business Brokers negotiated the sale.
Phillips family buys Chittaway Bakery
Mike and Gai Phillips have come out of retirement to expand the family’s interest in the baking business, buying the Chittaway Bakehouse at Chittaway Shopping Village.
Mr and Mrs Phillips had owned Bakers Delight at West Gosford and sold out with the intention of retiring. They plan to operate the Chittaway Bakery while sons Steven, Paul and daughter Leeanne continue to operate the Pie in the Sky business at Erina and in due course will take over the new business. The Chittway Bakery is well known for its wholesale business supplying shops across the Central Coast. Former owners John and Karen Theobald owned the business for almost eight years. The sale of the business was negotiated by Central Coast Business Brokers.
Travel agent opens at Erina
Travel agent, Travelutopia, has opened an office in the Platinum Building at Erina. Greg Mangos and Ryan Dowling who each have ten years travel experience, established the business four years ago and have worked with an exclusive clientele from their home office. “We now need to expand and employ staff to provide that extra personalised service that we offer, so an office in Platinum was our choice of location,” said Mr Mangos. Travelutopia specialises in the business and corporate travel market.
New owners at Platinum Blu restaurant
Alison and Quest Keogh have bought Platinum Blu Restaurant in the Platinum Building at Erina. Platinum Blu had been owned and operated by the developers of Platinum who opened it as part of the Platinum concept when the building was completed in 2006. “We are not restaurateurs, we are property developers,” said Tim Gunasinghe a spokesman for the developers. It had been managed by Franziska Prosser. The Keogh’s part-owned Onda Ristorante Italiano at Terrigal and presently operate the café at the Ken Duncan Gallery at Erina Heights.
