Newcastle Permanent appoints Business Development Manager
Newcastle Permanent Building Society has appointed Casandra Brewis as Business Development Manager. Ms Brewis will be working closely with the Central Coast teams, bringing new business through the various arms of the Branch network, Business Solutions and Financial Planning teams.
Ms Brewis was formerly CEO of Ettalong Beach Financial Services Pty Ltd and Manager of Bendigo Bank’s Ettalong Beach franchise for three years. During this time, approximately $40 million in business was written under her management.
Prior to that, Ms Brewis spent seventeen years at the Commonwealth Bank on the Central Coast, and various branches from Sydney through to Coffs Harbour.

Franziska Prosser opens food consulting service
Well known chef and restaurateur, Franziska Prosser has established Food Worx Consulting, a service aimed at the food and hospitality industry. She will specialise in advice for new entrants to the industry, management advice for all aspects of the industry including food buying, menu costings, team training, implementation of management systems, product development and quality control, seating efficiency and capacity management and marketing.
Ms Prosser qualified as a Chef and Pastry Chef in Austria. She holds a Masters Degree in Patisserie and Confiserie Vienna and a Hospitality Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Ms Prosser was part of the opening teams at Peppers-on-Sea in Terrigal, Gold Coast Intercontinental Hotel and Hilton Hotel Adelaide. She owned Brando’s Restaurant at Erina for six years before opening the Platinum Blu Restaurant two years ago.

Accounting practice established at Tuggerah
Shane Gray and Warwick Jackson have established an accounting practice, Beyond Black & White Consulting, at Tuggerah.
 Shane Gray is a commercial accountant with several years experience working with major companies while Warwick Jackson is a Chartered Accountant with a background in commerce and public practice and actively teaches in the Chartered Accountant’s program helping young accountants in their post-graduate training.
The partners describe Beyond Black & White Consulting as an exciting and innovative addition to the accounting advice landscape. “We naturally offer all the usual ‘accounting’ services but we do more than that! We truly care about the environment and society,” said Mr Jackson.

New owners for Moreau Cleaning
One of the oldest cleaning businesses on the Central Coast has changed hands. Kevin and Kim Meades have bought Moreau Cleaning & Maintenance Services, a business that was established some thirty years ago.
Kevin Meades most recently held a senior management position at Woolworths in Sydney and prior to that was branch manager of Star Track Express at Tuggerah.
The business services clients across the Coast from Wyong to Kariong specialising in commercial cleaning as well as building maintenance and gardening.
Dennis and Joy Johnson who had owned the business for the past twenty years have retired.


New adviser for Investment Insurance Specialists
Tuggerah based financial planning firm, Investment Insurance Specialists have appointed Bruce Donnelly as a Financial Adviser.
A Central Coast resident, Mr Donnelly has over six years experience in the financial services industry including financial planning, mortgage broking and property development finance.


Glenworth Valley appoints Marketing Manager
Glenworth Valley Horse Riding and Outdoor Adventures has appointed Sharon Rochester as their Sales and Marketing Manager. The appointment stems from the expansion of activities from Horse Riding into Adventure Activities such as Quad Biking, Kayaking and Abseiling.
Commenting on her new role Ms Rochester said, “I saw Glenworth Valley as being a strong brand with market leading experience and look forward to facilitating further growth in the Central Coast icon”. Ms Rochester has over fifteen years experience in Sales and Marketing, having previously worked within the Tourism Industry for Australian Scenic Tours and Private Education Sectors.
