Shanghai Business is growing for the Central Coast - Central Coast Tourism launches 2008-09 Guides

Shanghai Business is growing for the Central Coast

Shanghai’s Jinjiang Tours Sales Manager, Wu Jiang (Jenny), was hosted by Central Coast Tourism earlier in the year to see for herself what this region has on offer for Chinese visitors. Jenny has now put together several group package-tours featuring the Central Coast. The first group of 25 arrived in late October, visiting the Australian Reptile Park (including a BBQ lunch), then travelling to The Entrance for the daily Pelican Feeding and staying overnight at the Mantra Resort in Ettalong Beach.

The second group has already been secured which will arrive on the Central Coast on 13th November. The Qantas Shanghai package is an 8-day Australia package, staying 1 night on the Central Coast, 2 nights in Sydney, 2 nights in Melbourne and 3 nights in Queensland. “I am proud of our marketing staff’s effort as we are the only regional destination in this package tour to host an overnight stay,” commented Horst Endrulat, CEO of Central Coast Tourism.

“This is what it is all about - by working together we can reap benefits for the entire region”, said Paul Brasch, General Manager of Mantra Ettalong Beach and Kerry Ruffels from Business Central Coast who assisted in hosting the Chinese tour operators earlier in the year.

“With the low Australian Dollar at present, we hope to get much more group business from overseas, as these markets will now get more value for their dollar,” said Sarah Kerrsmith, Marketing Manager of Central Coast Tourism.
