Stevens Construction completes Mingara project

Erina-based builder, Stevens Construction (NSW) Pty Ltd, set out to provide a new benchmark in quality on the Central Coast, which is clearly evident with the successful delivery of the new Mingara One fitness centre which was handed over in September.

Construction commenced at the end of January 2008 on the new two-level, 2100 sqm floor area project which consists of rooms and areas for reception, administration, sales, first aid, consulting and meeting rooms.

The construction period of nine months included the shipment of the specialised flooring systems imported from Germany. Other programmed lead times included the solid timber sun blades and portal entry beams from Northern Queensland. Internal recycled hardwood feature screens of single length timbers up to 9 metres long originated in South Australia.

Directors Steven Mailey and Jason Lewis said that a number of Central Coast-based companies and subcontractors had worked on the project and all had carried out a first class job which enabled the project to be completed on budget and within the contract schedule. We especially thank Peter Brown Plumbing, Bentom Construction (carpentry) and Pluims Joinery for excellent quality and professionalism in their respective trades,” said Mr Mailey.

Mr Mailey added, “Stevens Construction has signed up new clients and projects on the Central Coast, Newcastle, and Sydney for 2008 and 2009. We are looking forward to a good year ahead.”
