Retail NewsStockland appoints new Centre Manager at Bay Village -- Deepwater Plaza retains position as leading Mini Gun centre -- Mitre 10 loses ground on Central CoastStockland appoints new Centre Manager at Bay Village Stockland Commercial Property has announced the appointment of Gary Morrison as Centre Manager at their Stockland Bay Village Shopping Centre. Prior to joining Stockland, Mr Morrison was for five years Centre Manager for a portfolio of shopping centres managed by Jones Lang LaSalle throughout NSW. Prior to that he was Hotel Manager for the Fosters Group, managing their hotels in Victoria and Queensland. Mr Morrison succeeds Amanda Johnson who is now Centre Manager at Erina Fair.
A survey of shopping centres in the size range from 7,000sqm to 20,000sqm Gross Lettable Area (GLA) has Deepwater Plaza at Woy Woy placed 16th in size across Australia, the same position it held a year earlier. The survey is carried out each year by Shopping Centre News magazine with centres graded as Big Guns, Little Guns and Mini Guns. 160 centres across Australia were rated Mini Guns. At 18,355 sqm GLA, Deepwater Plaza is one of 57 centres over 15,000 sqm GLA in Australia. Mitre 10 loses ground on Central Coast G&B Mitre 10 Umina Beach closed in October and November will see the closure of the Mitre 10 Gosford hardware store, leaving just three stores under the franchise banner on the Central Coast, at North Wyong, Kincumber and The Entrance. |
