Local business data survey to assist business practicesAs a manager or business owner do you have nightmares about losing all of your business data? It is a sobering thought in these festive times. On a lighter note perhaps you are one of those operators who get their fingers on business information when you need it – after all, the idea of modern business technology is to make business information easier to access. It is clear however that many businesses are operating under a cloud of uncertainty when it comes to their company data. Central Coast Business Review has teamed up with local online development company Organise Internet to gain a better understanding of current business practices on the Central Coast, with a view of helping stimulate and improve business in the region. The survey will be carried out by Organise Internet and Central Coast Business Review with the aim to give a unique local perspective on this important business issue. Organise Internet manager Ben Thomas-Brigden said, “With so much at stake for business we are concerned that many businesses are using too many resources and too much time on maintaining their essential business information. “Of course we have a vested interested in this, in that we are essentially a specialist database company, though we also think we have a responsibility to stimulate local organisations to get a real grip of their business and customer data,” he said. Edgar Adams, Managing Director of Central Coast Business Review said, “We're hoping that the traditional summer slow period for many businesses will allow us to gather the information that will reveal the extent of the local issues organisations are having with their business databases.” The survey will be anonymous and is open to anyone who manages or owns an organisation on the Central Coast. Some telephone interviews will also take place to broaden the survey sample. Results of the survey will be available initially to Central Coast Business Review subscribers and later on request from Organise Internet. A summary of the survey will be published in Central Coast Business Review in early 2009. To complete the survey go to www.ccbusinessreview.com.au/survey |
