The new owners of Gosford Town Centre shopping centre are showing some real confidence in the future of Gosford CBD and after refurbishing it they plan to develop a residential and commercial complex above.
Here we have another company wanting to invest in the CBD.  Let’s hope they don’t meet the brick wall at Gosford Council that the previous owners did as well as the numerous other investors who had great plans for Gosford.
Gosford’s Councillors will again have the opportunity to show who really pulls their strings. 

You have to wonder about our State Government.
Prior to the election they bought out a Draft Central Coast Regional Strategy designed to reduce population to meet the current water supply. And, satisfy the Greenies and all those who want the World to stop going round.
It was a stunt and they all know it, particularly the Minister for Planning whose Department did the work.
Of course there is one way to slow up population growth and that is to stop rezoning land for residential and industrial use.
And it seems that is what is going on.
Right now there is no land left on the Coast for residential development or for industrial development.
The Government glibly talks of jobs and more jobs for the Coast but the truth is they couldn’t give a damn.
If they had any interest in our region then at least the Planning Minister by now would have approved the rezoning of the Wyong Employment Zone at Warnervale which is estimated to generate 6,000 jobs.
The Minister has been sitting on the WEZ rezoning since July last year having taken it off Wyong Council.

Where are we going on water?
