Pacific Labels takes out international gong

North Wyong adhesive label manufacturer, Pacific Labels, has won the 2007 DuPont Packaging Graphics’ Grand Prix Cyrel® competition in the label and tag printing category, competing against a record 1,700 entries from 40 countries.

Held every four years, the competition was held in conjunction with the International Flexo-Print-Pack Congress, at Valencia in Spain.
Pacific Labels’ Operations Manager, Ross Nable attended the Congress and the awards evening which was attended by some 500 people.
Commenting on their success, Pacific Labels President, David Watts, said that for Pacific Labels to win a gold medal in the category and second overall was a major achievement and reflects the commitment of this Central Coast company to quality and service.  “Entries came from businesses in Europe, Asia and the Americas,” he said.
The Congress was held over two days and had many high profile speakers, such as climber Reinhold Messner, and Professor Stephan Garelli of Switzerland
The Grand Prix Cyrel® Awards honour the world’s best printed packaging while showcasing the finest flexography.
