Baxter O’Hara wins Kincumber fire station tender

The Department of Public Works has awarded Erina builder, Baxter O’Hara Building, the tender for the construction of the new $1.7 million Kincumber Fire Station.

Work is scheduled to commence this month.

Baxter O’Hara recently completed a new multi-purpose school hall for the Holy Cross Primary School at Kincumber.

Baxter O’Hara Director, Craig Baxter, said that the company is presently carrying out a number of BER contracts on behalf of Bovis Lend Lease.  These commenced at the start of 2010 and are scheduled to be completed in January 2011.

Mr Baxter said, “It is our policy to engage the services of local suppliers and trade contractors which in this instance is conforming to the intent and purpose of the National Building Stimulus Plan.”
