Youth Connections Buys Sydney Counterpart

Central Coast based youth services group Youth Connections has made a strategic acquisition of its Sydney counterpart North West Business Education Network (NWBEN), based in Pymble.

The board of NWBEN agreed to an approach from Youth Connections at their June board meeting, citing both strategic and economic advantages for their decision.

The purchase will allow Youth Connections to offer youth employment, training and support services all the way to the Harbor Bridge.

The acquisition also boosts the number of high schools and business customers significantly, something that will grow YC’s employment partnerships considerably.

The expansion into northern Sydney is expected to give many Central Coast youth increased access to new employment opportunities in the northern Sydney region and respectively give northern Sydney youth access to vocational opportunities in tourism, horticulture and agriculture.

Youth Connections is being welcomed by the North Shore business community at a ceremony at the Ryde Business Forum in August.
