Lake Haven Shopping Centre in Top 10Lake Haven Shopping Centre has been ranked within the top ten shopping centres in Australia when it comes to annual sales turnover. The Australian shopping centre industry publication, Shopping Centre News, detailed in its latest issuethe performance of 101 of Australia’s ‘Little Gun’ shopping centres to determine the best performing centres in the country. Little Gun centres are those centres up to 45,000 square metres in retail floor space. Lake Haven Shopping Centre came in at 6th position for total annual sales with a turnover of $254 million in the 12 month period ending September 2006. The centre also ranked 8th when it came to sales generated per square metre per annum, a key industry measure of sales productivity. “This is another great result for the Centre and its retailers”, said Lake Haven Centre Manager Mike Cochrane. ”Lake Haven has been a consistent high performer for a number of years, so our achievement this year continues to demonstrate the ongoing successful trading of the centre”. Lake Haven Shopping Centre recently celebrated 20 years of trading. In the 20 years since it opened, the centre has seen over 108 million customer visits who have spent $2.7 billion through the cash registers. “This is an extraordinary result for a relatively small community shopping centre”, said Mr Cochrane. “Our local community has been very loyal to the centre. Our customers see Lake Haven as more than just a place to buy the weekly groceries, they see it as the hub of their community, the ‘town centre’ where they can easily bump into their neighbours and catch up on the local gossip”. Lake Haven acknowledges this community support by offering significant investments in local charitable and community service organisations. Lake Haven recently announced a major sponsorship. |
