Franklins returns to Erina

Franklins supermarket chain has opened a new store at Erina Heights.

Previously, Franklins had operated a store at Erina Fair Shopping Centre however found that trade had dropped off around their location near Woolworths when the Centre redeveloped and opened a new precinct anchored by a Coles Supermarket. Trade had not returned to previous levels which  prompted the move. 
The new store occupies a space of 1400m² and employs 80 people.  It represents an investment of approximately $2 million by Franklins.
Mr. Aubrey Zelinsky, Managing Director of Franklins said: “The people of Erina will benefit from increased competition and our commitment to playing an active role in the local community. 
Franklins General Manager of Operations, Alan Malakou said that the Erina store was tracking exceptionally since opening.
Mr Malakou also said that Franklins are looking to open more stores on the Central Coast and is looking for suitable sites.

Franklins Erina store manager, Troy Woods also commented: “Today’s opening is an important milestone for Franklins in Erina, as we move into our new look store, which is part of the refurbishment program Franklins launched this year. We are excited about our future here and look forward to welcoming customers this week,” he said.
