The woollen quilts are all Australian made from the finest Australian wool in their factory in West Gosford.

Managing Director Peter Witney said, “This is a very important export order for us, particularly as China sells more bedding products to the world than anyone else. It’s a bit like sending coals to Newcastle or ice cream to Eskimos!

“Even though the luxury market is booming in China, we were conscious that we had no guarantee of success and that it would be a long hard road of understanding and negotiations with possible distributors.

Australian through and through, Bambi is a family company started 30 years ago at home in Point Clare by Peter & Janita Witney. Still independent, Bambi has since become one of the leading quality manufacturers in Australia with products selling nationwide as well as exporting to the U.K, New Zealand, Korea and Canada.

Bambi holds the prestigious Woolmark Gold Label and Australian Made licences, a Central Coast Award for innovation in design and manufacture and recently two prestigious awards as a key supplier to Harvey Norman.

Whilst Bambi uses the most advanced manufacturing technology, most of the work is hand crafted and custom made by the local skilled workforce.
