Appointment of New CEO to RDACCChairman of the Regional Development Australia Central Coast, John Dawson, has announced the appointment of Andrew Roach as Executive Officer. Mr Roach was selected from a field of twenty-five applicants by the RDACC's selection panel, comprising: Chair John Dawson, Deputy Chair, Maree Roberts; Board Member, Kim Williams and independent, Jane Gibbens. A resident of the Central Coast for over ten years, Mr Roach has a strong academic record in the fields of Environmental Science, Urban and Regional Planning and Social Change and Development. He has international experience and a high level of local government knowledge and experience, as well as a successful private sector career. In addition to his qualifications and experience, on a personal note, he has achieved several key professional awards including an Australia Day Award for services to the local community in promoting closer links between council, the community and professional organisations. He was also the NSW Young Planner of the Year. Most recently Mr Roach was Senior Urban Planner for The Design Partnership. He was also a planner at Wyong Council for a number of years. Mr Roach will commence his position in early December. He succeeds Anthony Dow who has taken a similar position on the Sunshine Coast. |
