Pacific Labels expandsWhile the manufacturing sector continues to struggle under the weight of added labour and energy costs and regulations, North Wyong adhesive label manufacturer, Pacific Labels, is expanding.Pacific Labels is expanding their factory adding a new despatch section so as to allow for an increase to current storage facilities and for future expansion options.
Pacific Labels is a full service roll label facility manufacturing high quality labels of all varieties. President of Pacific labels, David Watts, said that while business has been tough for some years they have taken the attitude that innovation and new technology would give them an edge and give customers new opportunities.
“We are committed to the concepts and principles of providing our customers with the most comprehensive service and support. We take a simple idea and bring it to fruition with customer satisfaction being our first and foremost intent,” he said. “Our success is no accident,” said Mr Watts, “strategic planning, a superior product, a commitment to our customers, and the ability to deliver on our promises is a culture in our company.”
Pacific Labels employs forty five people at their North Wyong facility including two apprentices. Mr Watts said that while positive about the company’s future he is very concerned about the implications of the Carbon Tax on costs. “While Australian manufacturers will have this added cost it will not apply to those in Asia. As a label manufacturer our cost input into the final product is very small but these days when the major supermarkets are driving costs down, micro-costs are given equal scrutiny.”
