InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the appointment of Steven Greenwood to a newly created position of Area General Manager NSW and ACT Regional for their Crowne Plaza properties that include Crowne Plaza Terrigal, Crowne Plaza Canberra, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley and Crowne Plaza Newcastle.

Mr Greenwood joined IHG in 1996 on the company’s UK graduate program at InterContinental London Park Lane and in just two years, progressed as reservations manager. Throughout his career he has worked across multiple regions including New Zealand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

More recently, Mr Greenwood was General Manager of InterContinental Wellington. He has a Bachelor of European Hospitality Management from the University of Plymouth and resides in Terrigal.
