Pacific Labels adds extra press

Label printers, Pacific Labels, have recently installed a new $1.25 million 8-colour Mark Andy flexo press bringing to five the number of label presses in use and giving them a massive production boost at their North Wyong plant.

The new XP5000 press is the first 8- colour XP delivered into Australia, is a servo driven press utilising the latest in servo drive and registration control technology at the printing and die cutting stations, together with servo drives at the unwind and rewind. Internet capable diagnostics, another standard feature, will ensure full service access 24/7.
Pacific Labels also had the press fitted with a number of features to allow the manufacture of specialised multi layer labels.
David Watts, Pacific Labels President, made the comments that this new press will enhance their capabilities due to its automatic registration, wider web width and much higher operating speeds.
Pacific Labels were helped to obtain the press by their relationship with Topflight Inc in the USA, who have also just installed a XP5000.
