ACS snares three more Westfield centresErina-based integrated service provider, ACS, is expanding its footprint across Australia having just signed a contract with shopping centre giant, Westfield, to provide security at their Marion and Tea Tree Plaza shopping centres in Adelaide, South Australia.Westifeld invited ACS’ tender with no existing footprint in South Australia. ACS now provides security services to 16 Westfield centres around Australia. “This is a great opportunity for us and is in line with our business plan to enhance our reputation as a national provider,” said CEO, Paul Collins. “ACS is a home grown local company and it proves that a sound business model will always overcome the tyranny of distance when expanding interstate,” he said. ACS has grown to become one of the country’s leading providers of labour services to the retail, commercial, light industrial and open precinct security and cleaning markets. Mr Collins commented that the ACS model has allowed the company to maintain a significant market share across NSW and South East QLD and as of November 2009, enter the Adelaide retail sector. “Breaking into new markets by way of acquisition of other companies and their contracts is a gamble and expensive way to expand, but the national reputation ACS holds resulted in us being invited to tender with no existing footprint to offer,” said Mr Collins. Their focus in customer services, ownership, service delivery and high ethical standards was enough to be awarded contracts with Westfield, beating well respected competitors who already have a footprint in the region. “Winning contracts is tough, but keeping them is even tougher,” said Mr Collins. “We are confident however that the business model we adopt in the eastern states will work for us in Adelaide, and beyond.” |
