Australia’s newest luxury spa and golf resort opens in the Hunter Valley

Australia's newest spa and golf resort, the Château Élan at the Vintage Hunter Valley was opened in mid February.

The $30 million development comprises an eighteen treatment room destination spa as well as accommodation for up to two-hundred guests in twenty super-luxury spa suites and a series of private lifestyle villas overlooking The Vintage’s
Greg Norman designed golf course.

Château Élan Hunter Valley is a joint development of Don and Nancy Panoz, owners of the renowned Château Élan in Atlanta, USA and The Vintage developer, Central Coast based, John Stevens of The Stevens Group.

Château Élan CEO Erik Stuebe said that the resort heralds a new era in luxury tourism in the Hunter. “Château Élan will provide a boost to the region and its economy as it becomes another reason for people to visit,” he said.

“We aim to make Château Élan, Australia’s finest destination spa and golf resort. No expense has been spared and no detail has been overlooked in creating this jewel in the crown of Hunter tourism,” said Mr Stuebe.

Château Élan is one of Australia’s largest spas offering a comprehensive range of spa treatments as well as a Hydro lounge (a comfortable, fire-warmed ‘wet’ area) and a social spa area complete with bar and catering facilities.”

Spa suites are located within the spa complex giving guests privileged access, as well as total privacy courtesy of an ‘air bridge’. They include a sensual plinth-mounted spa bath that is open to the room, and a $9,000 ErgoMotion bed that massages and has a ‘Zero Gravity’ option for neutral body position.

Each spa suite is named after a different city of the world and fitted out accordingly. All rooms include original artworks, Nesspresso Essenza coffee systems, French Thalgo bathroom amenities, digital entertainment and internet access.
