Business development project to promote Toukley
The NSW Government is providing over $15,600 to help the local business chamber with its planning to promote Toukley, Member for Wyong, David Harris announced in late March.
Mr Harris said Toukley Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Beyond 2009’ project would look at ways to help local businesses develop and attract new investment. “The NSW Government is helping Toukley Chamber of Commerce as it works to support the local business community and raise the profile of the Toukley area as a place to invest,” Mr Harris said.
“The Chamber will also work with the business community to create a clear, unified identity for Toukley to help promote the town. By supporting businesses and attracting new investment projects, the Chamber will be encouraging local jobs growth," he said.
Mr Harris said the funding would go towards a business survey, marketing program, business directory, website and new business kit. “By working together, the Toukley business community can work to overcome the current challenging economic times.
“The Rees Government is investing in the NSW economy to support jobs and local business growth. The Chamber expects to begin surveying existing businesses at the end of April and to present its plan and marketing program at the end of June 2009,” said Mr Harris.
Toukley Chamber of Commerce is being assisted by the Department of State and Regional Development.
