Macquarie appoints Paul Wrigley GM
Macquarie Southern Cross Media has announced the appointment of Paul Wrigley as General Manager of their Central Coast radio stations, 2GO and SeaFM. Mr Wrigley's career with the local radio station started in 2001. During his earlier years with the compnay, Mr Wrigley was Sales Manager and subsequently became General Sales Manager. He left the company for three years in 2003 to go into retail, rejoining and resuming his old position in 2007.


ACS appoints National Corporate Facilities Manager
ACS Integrated Service Provider has appointed Shane Fields as National Corporate Facilities Manager, responsible for co-ordinating all of their major retail security sites throughout NSW and Queensland.

Mr Fields has extensive experience in the security and cleaning fields of asset management and has worked for blue chip companies such as Westfield where he successfully implemented their Security Plan on acquisition of Westfield Woden. His most recent appointment was as National Operations Manager for the ADF Group. Mr Fields replaces Steve Huntley who has accepted a senior security manager’s position with a large retail shopping centre chain.


Business recovery firm opens on Coast

Business recovery and insolvency firm, Ferrier Hodgson has opened a Central Coast office at Erina. The office will be manned by newly appointed Associate, Rowena Sigelski, who is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Liquidator and Trustee. The office will be a branch of Ferrier Hodgson Newcastle.

Ms Sigelski specialises in corporate and personal insolvency, business turnaround and external administration and management. Commenting on the move, Ferrier Hodgson Director, Paul Gidley said, “The appointment of Ms Sigelski and opening of a Central Coast office makes this firm the largest specialist insolvency and turnaround practice in the region.”


Yarramalong General Store has been sold
Paul and Stephanie Harrison have sold the Yarramalong General Store, which dates back around 90 years. New owners, Glenda and Shane Hobbs come to the business with years of experience in varying retail sectors and are excited to continue to grow this well patronised business. Everything from stock feeds, fuel, fine coffee and take-away are available at the store. Scott McMullen of Argyle Estates Business Brokers negotiated the sale.


Central Coast Hospitality Consultancy and Training Pty Ltd sold
Central Coast Hospitality Consultancy and Training Pty Ltd has been sold to Allara Investments Pty Ltd. “The company will continue the services already provided by this well-established and well-known business, and will be widening the course scope to meet customer needs.

Scott McMullen of Argyle Estates Business Brokers, who negotiated the sale said, “Being one of the Coast’s most professional Registered Training Organisations in the hospitality industry with an excellent advertising presence, the sale brought buyers from all over the Country with the eventual buyer being a Sydney-based firm who is spreading its wings into the lucrative Central Coast market.” Mr McMullen also commented on the large enquiry for this business with a sale price being hit in just under a month of national advertising.


Landscape photography gallery opens at East Gosford
Richard Stanley has opened a landscape photography gallery on the corner of Wells Street and Webb Street, East Gosford. Mr Stanley moved to the central Coast four years ago and oped a stall in the mall at Erina Fair to sell his images. "We have had such good response over the past three years that we decided to set up a gallery to better showcase our images," he said. Mr Stanley has trvelled widely throughout the world photographing scenes and people of the places he has visited.


New accounting firm establishes at Erina
