ADC Krone appoints new Australian head
ADC Krone has appointed Tom Jamieson as Director of Operations and Supply Chain Manager for Australia and Asia Pacific, responsible for leading the manufacturing operations of its Berkeley Vale manufacturing facility.
Mr Jamieson first joined ADC Krone in 2001 as Purchasing Manager for Australia before being promoted to the position of Asia Pacific Supply Chain Manager. He was then named Global Lead, Supply Chain Integration where he was responsible for the integration of ADC and Krone operations.

Mr Jamieson takes over following the retirement of Manufacturing Manager, John Harris and departure of Mike Hanahoe who was Director, Global Connectivity Solutions, Asia Pacific, who has returned to the United States to take on a new role.
Central Coast manufacturers’ success at Export Awards
Two Central Coast manufacturers have taken out awards at the 2009 Hunter and Central Coast Export Awards. Warnervale printer of wristbands, RFID n Print, took out the Austrade Emerging Exporter Award, while encouragement awards went to Somersby boat builder, Boatspeed Australia and Charmhaven business, The School of Integrated Body Therapy.
Four Central Coast companies were also finalists, those being Performance Engineering Group, Replica Data Security, Webstuff.biz Pty Ltd, Quotefast Software and Clements Medical Equipment.
RFID n Print is a tag and label manufacturer specialising in the supply of unique, Australian-made custom wrist bands, automotive tags, variable data tags and product certification tags. The company is at the forefront of the manufacture of Radio Frequency Identification (or RFID) tags and has only been exporting for two years. This year it has increased export sales by 356%. RFID n Print already exports to the USA, Korea, Europe, and the United Arab Emirates.
The history of Boatspeed Australia has centered on the building of high technology, high performance racing sailboats and the cruising yacht market. A culture of detail and accuracy, coupled with high-tech development and use of materials has seen many successful racing yachts come out of the Boatspeed yard.
The awards, which are in their ninth year, are organised Hunter Export Centre and provide support to an increasing number of Hunter and Central Coast companies that are exporting to all corners of the globe. The Awards were opened up to the Central Coast for the first time this year.
Hunter Export Centre Manager, Dean Irwin said the judges were impressed by the quality and diversity of products and services being exported. “Our export sector is continuing to grow as our economy diversifies and grows,” Mr Irwin said. “We have many innovative companies who are taking the best of the Hunter and Central Coast regions to the world, creating local investment and jobs.” He said the companies were assessed on their marketing and export strategies with a focus on innovation.
The Hunter Export Centre is a unit of the Hunter Economic Development Corporation and is supported by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development.
