Seven category winners were announced along with the Retailer of the Year. The awards were presented as acknowledgement for excellence across a number of retail business management functions including Customer Service, Marketing, Store Merchandising and Sales Performance. “The Just Cuts Lake Haven team really excelled in 2008, achieving sales growth well above overall Centre performance, delivered high levels of customer satisfaction and is continually marketing the business to ensure sales growth,” said Lake Haven Centre Manager, Mike Cochrane. “Winning three award categories, including overall Retailer of the Year, is a well deserved acknowledgement of the best practice principals applied by the owners Oliver and Becky Adams.” Awards were also presented to the retail Team Member of the Year, and an individual business for their support of the local community. The Team Member of the Year Award went to Diane Jennings of Angus & Coote, who was nominated by her line manager as an exceptional sales person who strives for total customer satisfaction, thereby driving strong sales growth for the retailer. The Community Support Award was won for the second year running by Muffin Break, for their ongoing commitment to various community programs. “It is important that both Centre Management and retailers of the Centre acknowledge peer achievements,” said Mr Cochrane. “This is why we continue to hold these awards. It allows us to celebrate the successes of those individual retailers who have excelled in industry best practice.”
