APEX Insurance Brokers appoints professional risk manager
Insurance broker, APEX Insurance Brokers at Erina have appointed Nathan Corrigan as Account Manager.
Mr Corrigan has a ten year career in the insurance industry mostly as an insurance broker. Most recently he worked as an Authorised Representative with Elders Insurance. He has a strong background in professional risk insurance which APEX Director, Darren Hutton, said would add value in bringing strong relationships with metropolitan underwriters to an underserviced region.

Living Choice Broadwater Court appoints new Manager
Retirement village operators, Living Choice, have announced the appointment of Tim Bentley as Manager at their Broadwater Court Retirement Village. While new to the retirement industry Mr Bentley has more than twenty-two years business experience, previously operating his own retail camera business and camera repair business. He is well known for his fund raising activities for the Haemophilia Foundation and was President of the Foundation in 2001.
Broadwater Retirement Village has a total of 340 residents and employs nineteen people.

Central Coast accountants merge
Two Central Coast accountancy practices – Broadview Consulting and Max Herford & Co – have joined forces to offer Central Coast businesses a Chartered Accounting service as well as financial and general business advice.

The new Erina-based firm will be known as Broadview Accounting and will be headed up by Allan Mason who previously operated as a sole practitioner and Max Herford who has been operating his business at Erina for twenty years. Currently the new firm employs four accountants and one support person but has plans to reach ten people on staff by the end of 2009.

According to Mr Mason, Broadview Accounting will operate as a full service certified accountancy practice that also acts as a business consultant for its clients to help them run their businesses more effectively and successfully. Mr Mason is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty years experience in accounting, tax, auditing and in business generally. He is the author of three soon-to-be-released books on business and has established a number of businesses in both accounting and commerce.

Max Herford has twenty years experience as an accountant. He began his career in Sydney with Touche Ross and twenty years ago relocated to the Central Coast to establish his own accounting practice. The Broadview Accounting office is located at Level 1 Karalta Plaza, 12 Karalta Road, Erina.

Bendigo Bank installs ATM at Tuggerah Business Park
The Wyong Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank has installed an ATM in the Zenith Building at Tuggerah Business Park, adding a much needed service to the business people of Tuggerah and adjoining areas. Wyong Community Bank Chairman Jim Cowden said, “It is a great initiative for the Tuggerah Business community. Our bank is driven to achieve success by supporting our community and until now, the business community at Tuggerah has had little or no choice when it came to ATM services. Bendigo Bank is a very successful business banker and we plan to continue to provide new initiatives and support for the business community,” he concluded.

Kleemaid appoints Central Coast franchisee
Ian and Regina Brassett have bought the Central Coast franchise for kitchen and laundry designers, Kleenmaid.
Kleenmaid had operated the business for the past eleven years at Tuggerah Supa Centa. Mr Brassett was formerly employed in national and international sales roles with major companies in the industries field. Mrs Brassett is a graphic designer and will use her skills in the new business. The Brassetts have a young family and live at Wadalba.
