General Manager, Trevor Buwalda, said that with property security and safety becoming a major focus for many commercial and other operations the company had established a research and development office and employed a full time product development person to develop new high security perimeter products to satisfy what is now a growth market. “Our new High Security Palisade Fencing System has been developed in conjunction with our key suppliers and system designers. It puts us out front against all other suppliers,” said Mr Buwalda. The new system uses a revolutionary Z-frame technology and includes a unique built in cable management systemallowing for the fitting of covert security systems to the fencing perimeter. The system is being installed to protect electrical sub-stations and other government owned high-risk properties including sites in the pacific islands. “Perimeter security solutions is a growth area within our industry particularly high risk sites such as communications and power generation and supply”. At the same time Protective Fencing’s Promax Security Fencing which has an integrated welded steel mesh with suitably designed posts and rails is finding new markets. Promax security fencing is being installed on Brisbane’s new Gateway Bridge and Ipswich Motorway as well as anti-jump barriers on the existing bridge and other Queensland motorways. Protective fencing have further diversified into areas such as safety guarding for mining and machinery applications supplying fabricated steel and mesh barriers for several local and hunter valley mining support companies. Recent projects have seen products shipped all over Australia and in particular fast growing areas of Queensland. |
