Ramm Botannicals wins four state awardsTuggerah-based Ramm Botanicals has scooped the pool at the recent NSW Nursery & Garden Industry Awards night.Jeff Cooke, Managing Director of Ramm Botanicals said, “We were in the running for four awards but to receive all four was unbelievable.” Ramm Botanicals won the Training Award which recognises the company’s commitment to training staff both in-house and externally; the Community Award which acknowledges the ongoing support provided to major public gardens, local groups, educational bodies and charitable organisations; the Export Award recognising the company’s success in exporting its native plant range; and lastly, the Best Propagation Nursery Award. "We employ 90 Central Coast people and we are all proud of our product and the quality we produce. Such awards can only be won by having a great team of dedicated people across all disciplines in the business,” said Mr Cooke. “Winning the Best Propagation Nursery Award was most pleasing because the majority of our staff are directly involved in plant production, be it in our young plant nursery or one of our two tissue culture laboratories.” Ramm Botanicals will soon celebrate its seventh birthday. Mr Cooke said, “It’s impressive to see how far we have come in just seven years, and to publicly receive so many awards in one night in front of our industry peers makes us all very proud.” Ramm Botanicals is now vying for all four Awards at a national level to be announced at the Nursery & Garden Industry National Conference in Darwin in April next year. |
