Tuggerah businesses raise $13,600 for Cystic Fybrosis

At a cocktail event on 12 February 2009, a cheque for $13,600 was presented to Cystic Fibrosis Australia from Party in the Park – an initiative of Tuggerah Business Park businesses, their employees and families.

Party in the Park is an annual event held in Tuggerah Business Park for business people within the Park to socialise and celebrate the festive season in the lead-up to Christmas. Event organisers chose Cystic Fibrosis Australia as the beneficiary of funds raised at the 2008 event.

Over 50 local businesses sponsored the event and it was attended by over 300 people.

Terry Stewart, CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Australia accepted the cheque which will go towards research to extend the lives, and improve quality of life, for people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
