Local Company leads the way in mobile enabling Australian businessesBlink scores national recognition from ATUG, second year running Blink Mobile Technologies from the Mt Penang Business Park at Kariong, won The Australian Telecommunications User Group’s (ATUG’s) ‘Innovation in Communication’ Award for 2010. Blink’s exciting innovation –myAnswers – is a solution for organisations to rapidly create and deploy customised mobile information services without the need to design, develop and manage mobile-specific web sites or complex applications for the many differing type of mobile phones. This is the second year running that Blink has been short listed by ATUG in their annual awards ceremony to recognise the most innovative products and services on the Australian market. The Awards were presented by the Hon Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. After having received a ‘Highly Commended’ Award last year for their BounceBack SMS Community Noticeboard, Blink went one better this year, winning the national award for their recently developed myAnswers Service. The myAnswers Service is proving to be the ideal solution for a range of large to medium sized organisations who want a central development and management platform for all of their mobile users and catering to all mobile devices. While the new service is still relatively young, there is already a wide spread of early customers across such industries as – local government, universities, private schools, publishing, travel and tourism. Locally The University of Newcastle, Wyong Council, Central Coast Business Review and Central Coast Grammar School are all early adopters of the myAnswers Service – providing anywhere/anytime access to their most needed information for the benefit of staff, customers and partners. “Getting second place last year amongst some high profile organisations was a bit of a shock, but this year we were quietly confident. We know from our early customers how brilliant the new service is” said Darren Besgrove, Director of Blink Mobile Technologies. “What made a huge difference to us was getting fantastic local support from The University of Newcastle and Wyong Council. In spite of how innovative our service is, we wouldn’t be as far ahead of the market without the faith shown in us by these two organisations.” |
