New WorkCover CEO announced

Minister for Finance Michael Daley has announced the appointment of Lisa Hunt as Chief Executive Officer of the WorkCover Authority of NSW.

Minister Daley said Ms Hunt; a former executive at Transurban has a legal background and widespread experience on private and public sector boards.

“One of Ms Hunt’s tasks will be to improve the performance of the WorkCover Scheme by reducing the program’s operating costs without reducing the level of service it provides to employers and injured workers in NSW,” Minister Daley said.

She succeeds John Blackwell who unexpectedly retired in August last year.
