President of the Association, Bob Cowan said this will be the sixth year of the awards which aim to promote the manufacturing industry in the Hunter. “We have extended these Awards to include the Central Coast as the Central Coast Manufacturers Association is no longer running their awards.” “The HMA is interested in promoting manufacturing across both the Hunter and Central Coast giving both regions an opportunity to showcase their capabilities.” Mr Cowan said that both regions have a manufacturing sector that is world class And while there are successful companies who can stand on their own and don’t need support or assistance there are many unsung heroes who are on the verge of great success but need a helping hand to go to the next level. “Our awards evenings have become highly successful gala events that give those companies an avenue to be recognised for their excellence and success,” he said.
