Liberals announce candidates

The Liberal Party will take a team of endorsed candidates to the September Council elections across four Wards; Wyong, The Entrance, West Gosford and East Gosford.

Lead candidates in each Ward are:

Wyong – John McNamara.

Mr McNamara was a Councillor Deputy Mayor at Wyong Council in the years 2008 to 2012.  He is an Internet specialist and was Global Account Director for AT&T for 25 years.  He is presently a Consultant in the IT sector.

The Entrance – Rachel Stanton

Ms Stanton is a lawyer with one of Australia’s largest law firm Clayton Utz.

She was a Rhodes Scholarship Finalist in 2021.

West Gosford – Trent McWaide

Mr McWaide is Managing Director three Goodyear Autocare businesses in Wyong, Gosford and Newcastle and sits on the Goodyear Australia Advisory Council

He is a former policeman and holds an MBA

East Gosford – Jared Wright

Mr Wright is  a Senior Account Manager   with communications consultancy Honner and previously was a staffer with NSW Ministers Mark Coure and Matt Kean.

The liberal team plan to use their influence inside the Council Chamber to promote, support and help build local businesses.
