This month we are proud to publish Sydney’s Central Coast - 2023-24 Central Coast Investment Prospectus.
An initiative of CCBR, we have been proudly publishing this Prospectus each year for thirty years. It was the first regional investment prospectus published in Australia. It contains only facts that investors and business can rely on and is not a government publication.
This year’s Prospectus has been supported by local businesses, most of whom have supported the public...

Time for State Government to take control of planning at Central Coast Council
The amalgamation of Gosford and Wyong Councils in 2016 was heralded as an opportunity for the Central Coast to look to the future with confidence and prosperity.
Unfortunately, we elected an activist council that is dedicated to an unrealistic environmental agenda that will see the region grind to a halt and create untold social issues.
The appointment of an Administrator following the folly of the first elected...

It was a very small window, just three years, during the time of the McKinna/Anderson Council that would change Gosford.
Prior to that Gosford Council, for over 40 years opposed almost every development proposal that came its way.
Today, we are seeing what that Council achieved.
With twelve cranes working across the CBD, and a few more to come in the next six months, Gosford and the Central Coast is making news on the national RLB Crane Index®. See Cranes Galore in Gosford o...

We all accept that the 2016 forced merger of Gosford and Wyong Councils has been a disaster right from start.
The first phase in the amalgamation of Central Coast Council saw the Administrator back off from anything contentious leaving it to the elected council. So the whole organisation virtually went into limbo for eighteen months until we ended up with an elected council.
This council under Mayor Jane Smith, former CEO (part-time) of Community Environment Network, resulted in one of the ...

Two articles in this issue of CCBR highlight the region’s chronic need for industrial zoned land which is aggravated by Council’s reluctance to get the message and support developers trying to bring land to market.
Our article on Page 17 – Warner Business Park hot property followed by a report on the recent Valuer General’s new land valuations on Page 20 – Industrial land values jump 46% in 12 months, should be all the evidence that Council needs to change their...
